Staff Auditor (Experienced Level 1+ Years)

We are an established full service CPA firm based in Sacramento, has an immediate need for an experienced Auditor. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 1+ years’ experience in public accounting.

The position includes the following duties:

  • Perform most engagement procedures with supervision and work well with the engagement team through completion of the project.
  • Execute auditing assignments including but not limited to the areas of cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, accrued expenses, payroll and expenses.
  • Assist the tax department when needed.
  • Work at client locations.
  • Put in the hours required to get engagements completed.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-15% of the time.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field.
  • An active CPA license is a plus.
  • Experience planning and conducting audits and supervising staff.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong verbal communication.
  • Commitment to producing quality work, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Nonprofit and governmental experience is a plus.
  • Candidates must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Pro, CS Engagement, Lacerte, and PPC's SMART Practice Aids software is a plus.
  • Government accounting/auditing experience is a plus.

Tax Senior

Full service CPA firm in Sacramento is looking for an experienced Tax Senior to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for the right applicant to pursue career growth with a clear path to management while still maintaining a great work life balance compared to the larger firms in the region. Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Accounting; Master’s in Taxation preferred
  • 3-6 years’ experience in a tax role in public accounting
  • CPA license required
  • Strong computer skills, proficient Microsoft Office Applications; experience with Lacerte  
  • Technical ability reflective of experience

  • Preparing, reviewing and tax planning for individuals, businesses and fiduciaries.
  • Conduct tax research, experience with Checkpoint is a plus
  • Preparation of compiled financial statements

Bookkeeper

Full service CPA firm in Sacramento is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper is expected to perform most procedures independently with little supervision.  The right candidate will be able to assist the tax and audit departments when needed, work at client locations, and put in the hours required to get assignments completed.  Our firm offers great work-life balance, competitive benefits (including a flexible schedule) and a family-friendly work environment.  Salary dependent on experience.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks online and desktop products, QuickBooks Certifications preferred
  • Self-motivated and ability to work within a team framework
  • 5+ years of Bookkeeping experience
  • Must live in the Sacramento region

  Responsibilities:

  • Ability to handle multiple accounts and process payables and monthly account reconciliations
  • Professionally interact and communicate with clients frequently
  • Ability to independently monitor project load and effectively track progress and communicate with management
  • Adept at the following software; QuickBooks, Excel.  We use various other software packages and operate in a “less paper” environment.  As such, comfort with technology is a must
  • Ability to spot potential issues and resourcefulness to work with our team and clients to find solutions
